Committee Assignments

ATLANTA (January 12, 2011) Sen. Frank Ginn (R-Danielsville) has been appointed to several influential committees for the 2011-2012 Term by the Senate Committee on Assignments. Ginn will serve as vice chairman of the State Institutions and Property Committee and as secretary of the Agriculture Committee. He was also chosen as a member of the Regulated Industries and State and Local Governmental Operations committees.

I look forward to beginning my first term in the State Senate and am honored to have been appointed to such important committees, said Ginn. After years of operating a family farm, I have a keen interest in the needs of the agriculture community and its importance to our states economy, experience which Ill use as I serve the Senate Agriculture Committee as secretary. Each of these committees examine crucial areas of our state and economy and play an important role in developing concise and solution-based legislation.

The 152nd Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly convened this week at the State Capitol.

Sen. Frank Ginn represents the 47th Senate District, which includes Barrow, Madison and Oglethorpe counties and portions of Clarke, Elbert and Jackson counties. He may be reached at (404) 656-4700 or by e-mail at Frank@FrankGinn.com.
